SEO Strategy for the Books: How a Singaporean Bookstore Doubled Online Traffic in 3 Months
Established in 1975, Cru Media Ministry is a Singapore-based Christian bookstore, gift shop, and distributor and publishing arm of Cru Singapore with an e-commerce site. The retailer engaged Engine Room to develop and execute an SEO strategy to enhance organic traffic to the client’s website, drive leads and increase conversions.
At the start of the project, the client’s website had low organic traffic through generic keyword rankings since on-page SEO based on in-depth keyword research was completely missing. The goal and KPIs in this strategy were to enhance organic traffic, gain additional keyword rankings and increase conversions through on-page SEO based on thorough keyword research in the relevant market for all main pages and product pages.
Engine Room implemented a keyword strategy for the main pages, category pages and product pages while creating efficient keyword mapping and optimising all main on-page elements such as headers, metadata, anchors and ALTs for about 200 pages. This strategy enabled more organic traffic to reach the client’s website by targeting keywords relevant to the retailer’s offering, market and location to help drive leads and increase conversions.
In the first three months of this partnership, Engine Room delivered the following results:
